Baja Mexicali

Baja California is a peninsula state in Northwest Mexico.  Mexicali is the region’s capital and sits on the border of Mexico and America.

The Baja concept was born out of trips to this region of California which is a melting pot of both Mexican and American cuisines.

Having both started our careers in Whiteley many years ago, we have seen the shopping centre grow in popularity.

We feel there is a gap in the market for a Californian restaurant and cocktail bar that caters for a quick grab and go, home delivery, or a sit down meal with great food, music and cocktails.

We hope that by using traditional ingredients and methods of cooking we can offer a dining experience that offers something a little different from the more commonly known Tex-Mex. 

We like to call this Mexi-Cali.

Baja will be serving up a range of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, asada fries, churros, agua frescas, margaritas and Mexican hot chocolate.
