Whiteley Clothes Swap Shop
3rd August 2024
Join our clothes swap this year
We are teaming up with the charity ‘Cash for Kids’ to host a FREE Clothes Swap which helps save the planet whilst bringing amazing finds to your wardrobe.
How it works
The clothes swap shop day – Saturday 3rd August
- 11am – 1pm – Drop off your preloved clothes in return for tokens (one token per item donated up to 4 tokens per person, but you’re welcome to donate as many items as you like!)
- 2pm – 4pm – Return to our pop-up clothes swap shop to trade your tokens for used, unused and vintage pieces – completely free!
From the beginning of July, you can also drop your donations in our clothes collection bin in Market Square. These will be sorted by the team to be displayed at our clothes swap shop or donated via our charity partner. Please note, this is donation only, and customers donating via the collection bin will not receive tokens for the clothes swap shop event.
Donation guidelines
- Clothes should be clean and in good condition
- Shoes should be tied together or secured in pairs
About Cash for Kids – Wear, Share, Care
Cash for Kids South Coast is dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the south from the moment they’re born up to and including the age of 18.
Their mission is to be there when they’re needed the most, helping combat poverty, illness and neglect, making living with additional needs that little bit easier, or simply offering a helping hand.
They believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and be their true selves.
They support children across six key areas:
- Poverty
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Sport and physical wellbeing
- Disability and life limiting illness
- Education and essential skills
- Diversity and inclusion
Cash for Kids South Coast helped 27,514 children in 2023
Cash for Kids work with ‘Donate It Recycling’ who manage their clothes banks.
All donated clothes will either be distributed to those in need, or recycled. Cash for Kids also receive a donation from recycled clothes, to further support the important work they do in the local community.
