Introducing the Spring Summer 25’ Womenswear Collection from M&S
Marks & Spencer is thrilled to unveil its SS25 womenswear collection, launching from Thursday the 20th March. This season, expect a beautiful evolution of femininity in both fabric and silhouette, with designs that are as modern as they are timeless.
The new season blends romanticism, fine craftsmanship, and trend-driven colours and patterns. Neutral tones are energised by seasonal colours, while playful prints add excitement to both casual and elevated looks. Summer shimmer shines through, ensuring a modern, easy-to-wear approach to occasion dressing, emphasizing the joy of dressing up for memorable events. The collection also features fresh, modern swim and holiday pieces, with beautifully made linen, offering versatility for both local and abroad escapes – ensuring it will be a summer to remember
The Edit brings forward stylish, trend-driven looks where colour and shape take centre stage, blending soft femininity with structured tailoring to create a beautiful mix of delicate and masculine elements. Modern tailoring meets soft femininity where new suit combos see jackets paired with mini skirt and short designs, and the mix and match style of hi-low dressing is fully embraced. Soft wide-leg trousers paired with voluminous shirts make for effortless, chic outfits, while dresses introduce a fluid, elegant touch.
Quiet luxury at its best, silhouettes are long and lean, fabrics are fluid and tactile. Neutral tones are punctuated by radiant blues, butter yellows and an injection of pink and lime, evoking the colours of summer and the increasing mood to celebrate. Bubble skirts are sticking around for the season, summer sequins are reimagined on co-ords, and patterns consist of confident spots and watery edges.
Our new occasion capsule collection brings an elevated, glamorous touch to evening and event dressing. All about embracing luxurious, statement-making pieces that elevate every event, beautiful dresses come in a variety of prints, from playful polka dots to delicate florals, and a vibrant palette of bold reds, pastel blues, frosted pinks, and bright limes. Easy outfitting is championed, and each piece is perfectly paired with elegant footwear and chic accessories for effortless styling.
Casual Edit creates looks that are both soft and pretty, and clean and crisp. Trousers and strong shirts, denim pieces like the new horseshoe jean, and outerwear and knitwear are the perfect building blocks for a laidback look. Utility comes through on workwear with the combination of nature and modernity in neutral sand, khaki and cream tones with pops of pinks and blues to inject a touch of femininity. Playing with stripes and lace inserts in a transitional colour palette, and the blend of cargo pieces with fluid and sheen fabrics create a tough yet delicate look.
The arrival of summer is signalled by fresh blue and white hues, with key pieces like shorts, sandals, and dresses taking the spotlight. Dresses make a statement with effortless, style-forward designs with plenty of ruffles and softness adding to the charm. Embroidery, cutwork, and hand-drawn patterns inject a playful edge into the summer wardrobe.
On Holiday & Swim, prints are playful but sophisticated for this summer season. From cover-ups and casual daywear to bold beach life and poolside glamour, M&S is your ‘one stop holiday shop’ and has got everything you need for the perfect getaway.
Holiday-wear epitomises understated style finished with considered details and proportions. The earthy palette is complimented by light fabrics and natural materials such as crochet and linen. With a swimsuit or bikini for every mood and moment, summer 25 sees a step change to swimwear. New fabrics and shapes create modern and stylish pieces, that still fit like a dream. Coastal and palm motifs are prominent throughout, whilst ditzy florals make for a more subtle nod to pattern.
Summer sees a continuation of the crafted trend on Footwear & Accessories. New straw and raffia materials add texture and interest to the simplest shapes, with stripe weaves, chevron patterns and contrast boarder details all feel new. Bags come in both relaxed and slouchy and very structured styles, whilst footwear incorporates tubular straps and skinny ties to lean into the season’s more feminine elements, and metallics, golds, and silvers are key with summer occasions on the horizon.
